Anyway, I find that stress often crops up when I least expect it. Sort of like one day, I’m perfectly fine. Everything is going along smoothly, and then the next day…BAM! WTH Stress is filling my life full of…stressful things. Why? I don’t know. Make it stop.
I don’t know if biting your laptop will help, but whatever works, right? I believe that very often us humans don’t feel like we can take a single momentary break away from that which stresses us out. They believe (okay, I’m guilty too) that stopping for a minute or two to rest your brain will somehow make everything, including the stress, even worse. But I do believe that taking even a few minutes away to regroup, whether to listen to music, or to meditate, or watch mindless television is ultimately the way to move forward and on through the stress in life.At least this is what works for me. I will take an hour or two away to read a book, watch a movie, listen to music, and yes…watch mindless television where no actual thinking or decisions are required. Some people call it taking a break. 🙂
Wouldn’t it be great to write the word stress in the sand and then let the waves wash it away?
I love that visual. It soothes me. Gives me hope.
And also always remember, Stressed spelled backward is Desserts.
Which is truthfully the only way I know how to spell either word. 🙂
